The Hoboken Chicken Emergency – It will become a new Thanksgiving classic in your homeschool!
Growing up, my boys listened to the story of The Hoboken Chicken Emergency as an audio book. We accidentally found it at the library and it quickly became a favorite. Whenever we had down time or I needed down time and wanted to give my guys something to keep them occupied, this was always a winner! They would knock themselves out laughing and would never get tired of listening to this crazy story!
Here are a couple of resources for you for this story –
If you can’t find the book at your library, a website for you to try is the Open Library Internet Archive. You do need to sign up for a free account, but you will have immediate access to tons of online books to check out. Make sure you search and check out books from the Open Library and they are not Daisy formatted books (books for the visual impaired – you need a special device to read those).
Here is the link to that wonderful resource – Open Library Internet Archive edition of The Hoboken Chicken Emergency (This is a book to read, not an audio book.)
