Study Shakespeare!

Globe Theater study shakespeare in your homeschool #homeschool #homeschooling #studyshakespeareinhomeschool #shakespearelessonplans #shakespearestudy

Have fun studying Shakespeare in your homeschool!

It can be easy to study Shakespeare with children of all age levels.

There are a number of children’s books that retell some of his plays so even your youngest children can become familiar with his characters and stories.

You can listen to those or the original plays online with free audios as well.

Shakespeare’s plays are performed worldwide by schools and local community theater groups in shorter children versions or in the original form.

You can have fun retelling the stories with puppets as the characters or act them out yourselves!

Write summaries and draw pictures of your favorite scenes.

Learn about Shakespeare and the Globe Theater with books written for children or look online for fun websites about his life, his works, and the theater.

Have a party and invite different characters from his plays or different historical figures from his time period to attend.

Serve food from the Renaissance time.

Play guessing games where you try to guess if a word was invented or a phrase coined by William Shakespeare or not.

Or, if a quote comes from one of his plays or from the King James Bible. It can be tricky!
