What are literary devices? Want to be able to define, identify and write your own literary devices?
Here is a fun packet of handouts for you to use in learning and practicing the definitions of some common literary devices. Simple examples are given for each and other more complex examples from the “The Christmas Carol” are also supplied for your older learners.
Worksheets are provided to practice your hand at writing your own in a Christmas theme with some suggested possible answers.
Have fun using and applying what you have learned by finding the literary devices used in “‘Twas the Night before Christmas” and “The Grinch” theme song. Answers are supplied for each of the worksheets.
